Justice

"Kasab had contended that he was not given a free and fair trial and that he was not the part of any larger conspiracy for waging war against India."

So, did he think that it gives him right to pick up a gun, go to any country and shoot its citizens as long as he is not a part of larger conspiracy? This is what even a lay man and a law-abiding citizen like me thinks. How hard is it to give a punishment/verdict on a person caught in those circumstances?

I think we should stop referring the incident as '26/11 - Mumbai Attacks' and start calling it '26/11/2008 Mumbai Attacks' so that we know it has been 4 long years since we captured Kasab with a gun in his hand, shooting people left and right in Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Four years and he still has a voice to say  -

'... that the prosecution had failed to prove the case against him beyond doubts and told the bench that his right against self-incrimination as well as his right to get himself adequately represented by a counsel to defend himself in the case had been violated during the trial.'

This definitely happens only in India. How is this case different from 22-Jul-2011 Norway attack? Arrest - psychiatric evaluation, criminal trial (16-Apr-2012) and verdict for containment for max 21 yrs/min 10 yrs on 24-Apr-2012.

Justice delayed is justice denied.
